"The glaciers are melting and the scientists all over the world don't know how to stop it,in the other hand, Chile approves project to: Destroy the Glaciers !!!!!!! ..... ??????

In the Valley of San Felix, the most pure water runs through the rivers fed by two glaciers, where there is the most precious resource ever: Water.

Tremendous deposits of Gold, Silver and other minerals have been found beneath the Glaciers. In order to get to them it would be necessary to break and destroy the Glaciers, (something never conceived by anyone in the history of this Planet), and then make two gigantic holes, each one as big as a mountain, one to extraction and the other one to discard the remains from the mine.

The project is called "Pascua Lama". The Company behind this is Barrick Gold. The operation has been planned by a multinational from which George Bush father, guess what, is a active member.

The Chilean Government has approved the project to be started this year !!!!. The only reason they have not started yet is because of the peasants have obtained a deferment.

If they destroy the Glaciers, not only they will destroy the source of an specially pure water but will permanently contaminate the two rivers in such a way that they will never be suitable neither human or animal intake, because of the cianuro and the sulphuric acid needed for the extraction process.

All the gold, to the last gram, will be send to the Multinational outside the country and not one will be given to the people that own that Land and live on it. They will only get poisoned water and consequent diseases. The peasants have been fighting for their Land for a long time, but have not been able to go on TV because a prohibition by the Ministry of Interior Relations.

Their only hope to stop this project is obtain help from the International justice. The world has to know about what is going on in Chile !!!.

We ask to the Chilean Government to please not authorize the Pascua Lama Project, to please protect the integrity of this two Glaciers, the purity of the water from the Valley of San Felix and the transit, the ability to cultivate in the region of Atacama and the quality of life of the affected people from this region. nem sequer consigo expressar o que penso em relação a isto, sem cair na linguagem mais vulgar, vernacular e brejeira!
o mandamento reformula-se:"... e Disse aos acéfalos, crescei, multiplicai-vos e destruam o mundo".
acéfalos para não categorizar ainda mais, porque para alguem tomar este tipo de acção, sem sequer pensar nas consequências, não tem cérebro, logo nem se consegue encontrar nisto tudo a mais mínima réstia de lógica e actividade mental acima de um ser uni-celular.
a lei do retorno é implacável, basta saber é quando se começará a sentir a sério este tipo de acções! daqui a umas centenas de anos, espero, irão olhar para nós, (presente) com os mesmos olhos incredulos com que, hoje, vemos a "idade média".
é tão desanimador perceber que o ser humano tem uma capacidade muito limitada de aprender com os próprios erros! e numa macro-escala, essa capacidade, é mínima...
os nosso erros não podem ser desculpabilizados pela ignorância! mas sim perceber uma causa.
mas a partir do momento em que a ignorância passa a cegueira auto-infligida, não há desculpa, nem divina.
